JOB Role: Application Engineer (Night Support)
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Application Engineer (AE) will be responsible for developing custom applications on the salesforce.com platform, including SF Sites; and for integration projects between salesforce.com and other enterprise applications using both custom code and proprietary middle-ware applications such as Cast Iron, MAGIC or Informatica.
In this capacity the AE will be an expert in salesforce.com integration and development, designing solutions, using the salesforce.com API, APEX, Visualforce and other tools that extend the product. The role requires an individual with a significant cross-platform software development background, who is able to lead a technical requirements gathering session, write functional requirements and technical architecture documents and manage integration. Must be willing to take on significant travel, and on-site working as required.
This position is suited for a highly motivated and energetic individual with a desire to design high quality solutions in an inspiring and challenging environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Supporting US (time zone) clients, in a wide range of industries, in a 24/7 environment
• Developing, measuring, meeting and/or executing Service Level Agreements
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high client satisfaction feedback rates
• Interacting with technical and non-technical groups .
• Excellent communication skills with subordinates, peers, executives and clients
• Results–oriented, articulate, and able to manage and grow customer relationships and build confidence with customers
• Past work experience at a leading professional services firm with exposure to US work culture and distributed project delivery (US, India, Europe).
• Experience with project lifecycles from initiation through to closure
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong customer focus and consultative skills – must be able to define customer problems and articulate current situation to customers
• A track record of high performance and exceeding customer expectations
• Ability to work and learn in both supervised and non-supervised environment
